Your MDCAT score is not the only thing that matters. Admission is based on an aggregate that includes your FSc (or equivalent) and Matric scores.
The Formula
10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT
Example Calculation
Let's say Ali has:
- Matric: 1050/1100 (95.45%)
- FSc: 1020/1100 (92.72%)
- MDCAT: 180/200 (90.00%)
Aggregate:
(0.10 x 95.45) + (0.40 x 92.72) + (0.50 x 90.00)
= 9.545 + 37.088 + 45.00
= 91.633%
Note: Some provinces may have slightly different weightages. Always check your admitting university's prospectus.
