In MDCAT Physics, you don't get marks for the 'steps'. You only get marks for the right bubble.
1. The 'g' Approximation
Never use g = 9.8. Always use g = 10. The difference in the final answer is usually small enough that you can still pick the closest option.
2. Dimensional Analysis
Forgot the formula? Look at the units of the options.
If the answer is in Joules (N.m), and you are given Force (N) and Distance (m), just multiply them!
3. The 3-4-5 Triangle
In vectors or projectiles, if you see components of 3 and 4, the resultant is ALWAYS 5. Don't waste time calculating the square root of 3² + 4².
(Multiples work too: 6-8-10, 30-40-50).
